Ask in any business forum what companies pay AI governance consultants for and you get a long list: policies, risk assessments, staff training, audits, "a framework". What you rarely get is a straight answer to the question a business owner actually has: what will I have at the end of it, and what will it save me?

Here is ours, part by part: what it is, why it is better than the alternative, and what it means for you.

1. Documents written for your business, not a template

What it is. A full set of AI compliance documents for your business and the market you trade in: your AI policy, staff guidelines, a register of the AI tools you use and the risk each one carries, and the records the law expects you to keep.

Why it is better. A template tells you what a policy looks like. Ours names your tools, your risks and the rules that apply to a business of your size, written from the law itself, not from somebody else's summary of it.

What it means for you. Nobody on your team has to read the legislation, work out which parts apply, or write the documents from a blank page. See what that would cost to do yourself.

2. Plain English, at a fixed price

What it is. Every document is written to be read by the people who have to follow it. The price is fixed and published.

Why it is better. A consultant on a day rate is paid for time, so the meter runs while they learn your business. A fixed price is paid for the result.

What it means for you. You know the cost before you start, and your staff can actually follow what they sign.

3. It stays up to date without you asking

What it is. Each framework renews every year, and legal updates are included. When a law that covers you changes, your documents are updated and you are told, in plain English, what it means for your business.

Why it is better. A framework written once and left in a drawer goes out of date quietly, and an out-of-date policy is a signed statement that you do things you have stopped doing.

What it means for you. You do not have to watch the law. We do, and you hear from us when it matters.

4. A dashboard where the work gets done

What it is. With every Complete framework comes a compliance dashboard your business runs all year: what is due, your AI tools and their review dates, who has signed your policy, incidents and what you did about them, and a dated history of every change.

Why it is better. A policy proves what you meant to do. The dashboard proves what you did. That is the question an insurer, a client or a regulator actually asks. Here is how it evidences human oversight.

What it means for you. Add a new AI tool and your documents are rewritten overnight to cover it. Once a month, if anything is due, you get one email with the list. When someone asks how you manage AI, you send them a one-page statement or a full report.

5. Mapped to the standards your clients ask about

What it is. Every framework includes a map showing how it lines up with ISO/IEC 42001 and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.

Why it is better. Larger clients and their procurement teams increasingly ask about these standards. The map shows where your framework is aligned with them. It is not a certification, and we do not say it is.

What it means for you. When a client's supplier questionnaire asks about AI governance, you have an answer ready instead of a week of work.

The short version

You are not paying for advice you then have to act on. You are paying for the documents, the updates and the record, done, and kept done, so your business can use AI and prove it does so properly.
