Service definition

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Before a professional firm signs with a supplier, somebody in that firm asks the same set of questions. This page answers all of them in one place, in the order a government procurement pack asks them — including the last two, which most small suppliers never put in writing.

If you need this as part of a supplier assessment or a procurement pack, send whoever is asking straight to this page.

What it is

What am I actually buying?

An AI compliance framework for a small professional-services firm, covered for twelve months at a time. You answer a set of questions about your business once. You get back a complete set of written documents — policies, risk assessments, registers and the schedule of what proves each of them — written against the law where you trade, and personalised to the tools you actually use.

For the twelve months you are covered, when the law moves we rewrite the documents it affects and email them to you with a plain-English note saying what changed and why it matters to you. That is the part you are paying for annually. The documents themselves are yours to keep either way.

There is nothing to install, no account to create and no password to remember. It arrives by email and it stays in your inbox.

How you get set up

What do I have to do, and how long does it take?

Three steps, none of which needs us to be at our desks:

  • You buy the framework that covers where you trade.
  • We email you a link to one short form — what your business does, how many people, which AI tools you use and what you use them for.
  • You submit it, and your documents are written, checked against your answers and emailed to you.

No call is needed to get started, and nothing waits for a person to be free. If you would rather talk it through first, that is what the calendar is for.

Support

Who do I talk to, and how quickly do they answer?

Email, to a person, and it is the same person who wrote your documents. There is no ticket queue and no first line.

Support is included for the whole twelve months at no extra cost, and it covers the documents you hold — what a clause means, what a regulator is asking for, what to do when your firm adopts a new tool. It is not legal advice and we do not pretend otherwise: where you need a solicitor, we say so.

Training

Will you show my staff how to use this?

Yes, and it is sold separately from the framework. Half a day or a full day, remote or in person, going through the documents with the people who have to live with them and helping you fill in the parts only your firm can complete.

It is priced on request, because what a four-person practice needs and what a forty-person one needs are not the same session.

Service levels

What are you actually committing to?

Within one business day, for everything. That is the standard this business runs on and it is the number to hold us to.

What you are waiting forWhat we commit to
An email to supportWithin one business day.
Your documents, once you have submitted the formWithin one business day.
Your rewritten documents after a change in the lawWithin one business day of us confirming the change.

In practice they are usually much faster — your documents are in your inbox by the end of the business day, because nothing waits for a person to be free. The commitment is deliberately looser than the practice, because a commitment you meet on your worst day is worth more than one you meet on your best.

What we do not promise is that the website is never down. It is not a system your firm depends on hour to hour: your documents live in your inbox, not behind a login.

Security

Where does my information go, and who can see it?

Your answers and your documents are held on managed cloud infrastructure, encrypted on the way there and while stored. Card details never reach us at all — payment is handled by Stripe, and we hold only the last four digits.

Some of the services we rely on process data in the United States. That is set out in full, service by service, on our privacy page, along with what we collect and why.

Nobody outside this business is given access to your answers, and we do not sell data or use one customer's answers to build anything for another.

Full detail: our security page and our privacy policy.

Terms

What am I signing up to?

Twelve months, paid up front, renewing annually until you stop it. You can stop the renewal at any time and it takes effect at the end of the twelve months you have paid for — there is no notice period and no exit fee.

The documents we write for you are yours. You own them, you can edit them, and you keep them whether or not you renew.

The full wording is on our terms page.

Business continuity

Who looks after me, and what if you are not there?

From the day you sign up you are assigned a representative here, and when the law changes you hear about it from them by email, as and when it happens. You are never waiting for somebody to remember you.

And the documents you hold do not depend on us either way. They are in your inbox as PDFs and as editable Word files, they are not locked to any system of ours, and nothing we could do would take them off you.

What would stop, if we stopped, is the part that runs forward — the rewrite when the law moves. We are a small business and we would rather tell you that than promise you a department that does not exist.

Price

What does it cost, and what is not included?

One fixed price per year, covering the documents, every rewrite the law forces during those twelve months, and support throughout. There is no per-user charge, no setup fee and no minimum term beyond the year you buy.

How you leave

If I want out, what do I have to do?

Tell us, or cancel the renewal yourself. Either is enough and neither needs a reason.

Your cover runs to the end of the twelve months you have paid for. Nothing stops early, nothing is withheld, and the documents stay yours. The only thing that ends is the rewriting — after that date your documents are a snapshot of the law as it stood, which is exactly what they are worth knowing.

There is no exit fee, no notice period and nothing to hand back.

How you get your data back

You hold my answers. What happens to them?

You already have everything. Every document was emailed to you as a PDF and as an editable Word file when it was written, and again each time the law forced a rewrite. There is no export to request and no format to convert — if you can open a Word file you have your data.

If you have lost the emails, ask and we will send the lot again.

What we hold beyond that is what you typed into the form: your business details, the tools you use, and what you told us you were worried about. Those answers exist so that a legal update can say what a change means for your own firm rather than in general.

When you do not renew

Your answers and your copy of the documents are destroyed 30 days after your cover ends — the delay is there so that a late card payment or a renewal over a weekend does not cost you your file.

What survives is the ordinary commercial record any business keeps: who bought what, when, and for how much. We also keep the record that we told you about each legal change, with your own details taken out of it, because a compliance company that cannot show it warned you has not really warned you.

You do not have to wait for the year to end. Ask us to delete your answers at any point and we will, and you can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you at the same time.

Anything we have not answered

Who do I ask?

Email hello@opsintel.io and you will get a person, not a form. If your firm has its own supplier questionnaire, send it over and we will fill it in.
